Wrap it up and tie a bow around it y’all, the One Room Challenge ™ Guest Room Remix is officially done! IT’S REVEAL DAY and I am so dang happy to finally deliver the goods I could NAP! Which is exactly what I did in my brand new guest space and I think I might just move in!

If this is your first time here, WELCOME! Let me catch you up on the last 6 weeks of my very first One Room Challenge™: Week 1 Week 2 | Week 3 |Week 4 | Week 5 |

I am literally chomping at the bit to show you this finished space you guys. But let’s take a lil peek back in time to where it all started, beginning with the MLS photo from 2016, through it’s awkward transition from Emmy’s 10 year old girl room, to makeshift guest room shall we?

THE BEFORE

Was it terrible? No, but it wasn’t a space I was thrilled to share with our beloved guests either. Ok actually, those carpets were pretty terrible.

Seriously though. What is this?

THE GAME PLAN

THE QUICK AND DIRTY

This room has been a labor of love my darlings and not a single square inch was left unchanged. Over the past 6 weeks we have poured so much time, energy, brain power (Holy Geometry Batman!) and love into this space. We took on a bunch of DIY projects we’ve never attempted, and by some miracle they all turned out even better than I could have imagined. The ORC Gods have been on our side through this entire endeavor despite the many setbacks and and colorful language. (Sorry mom)

It is our prayer and hope that all who stay here feel welcome and loved; That each person who enter know this space was created especially for them to come exactly as they are and be treasured.

Frank and Meg Lowery

THE AFTER!

THE DETAILS

THE SHOWSTOPPER

Beyond a shadow of a doubt I am most excited about this beautiful custom art piece ‘Standing Heron’ from Studio Amy Lynn. Amy Lynn created this Stipple piece specifically for this room and is auctioning off the framed original for charity to help dig wells in Haiti. It is an incredible honor to be even a minute part of this piece’s incredible legacy.

Thank you Linda Weinstein for creating this biannual event and for allowing everyday people, just like me, to be a part of it.

Thank YOU for following along each week as I documented the process of renovating a room under the gun and on a dime! I am so grateful for you!
